Who will be exalted?
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am writing to you today to explain the importance of the verse, “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:12). This verse reminds us that humility is a key aspect of the Christian life, and that those who exalt themselves will be brought low, while those who humble themselves will be exalted.
In a world that often values pride and self-promotion, it can be easy to lose sight of the importance of humility. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to live in a way that reflects his humility and love. When we humble ourselves before God and others, we open ourselves up to the work of his grace in our lives, and we demonstrate to others the love and mercy of Christ.
As we seek to follow Jesus, let us remember the importance of humility, and let us strive to live in a way that honors him. May we never forget that it is only through his grace and mercy that we are able to live the kind of life that he has called us to.
