It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am writing to you today to explain the importance of the verse, “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). This verse reminds us of the importance of supporting those who are weak, and the blessings that come from giving rather than receiving.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be servants to one another. We are called to love one another, to bear one another’s burdens, and to support one another in times of need. When we labor to support the weak, we are demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ to those around us.

At the same time, we must remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. When we give of our time, resources, and energy to support others, we are not only meeting their needs but also experiencing the blessings that come from generosity.

As we seek to follow Christ and support the weak, let us remember the words of the Lord Jesus and the blessings that come from giving. May we always be willing to serve one another, to love one another, and to give of ourselves to support those who are in need.
