Call to Repentance
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am writing to you today to explain the importance of the verse, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30). This verse reveals God’s grace and mercy towards humanity, as well as his expectation for all people to repent and turn to him.
In the past, God had allowed people to live in ignorance of his truth, but with the coming of Christ and the spread of the gospel, he has now made it clear that all people everywhere are called to repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
As believers, we have been saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and we have been entrusted with the message of reconciliation to share with others. We are called to be ambassadors of Christ, urging people to repent and believe in him for salvation.
Let us therefore be faithful and obedient to God’s call to repentance and faith in Christ. May we never forget the grace and mercy that we have received, and may we share this message of hope and salvation with all people everywhere.
